Lucy Colcenco

MASTERS OF ARTS COUNSELLING AND THERAPY STUDENT
THERAPIST INTERN

Sometimes, therapy feels like a last resort—we find ourselves stuck, anxious, or uncertain about what to do next. But deep down, we know something needs to change. I’m Lucy, and I’m here to walk alongside you in this process, helping you find new ways to move forward. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted—where you can reconnect with yourself, understand your emotions, and begin to heal.

I believe that change is possible for everyone. My role as a therapist isn’t to tell you what to do, but to help you uncover your own strength and wisdom. My approach is grounded in safety, trust, and acceptance, creating a space where you can explore your emotions without judgment.

Before becoming a therapist, I volunteered at a distress center, offering support to those in crisis. That experience deepened my understanding of how vital connection and compassion are in the healing process. Now, I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) into my work to help clients heal attachment wounds, strengthen relationships, and develop a deeper sense of security—both within themselves and with others.

If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-esteem, anger, or relationship challenges, you don’t have to face it alone. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can connect and see if we’re the right fit.

On a personal note

I moved to Canada from Moldova 20 years ago and now live in Whitby with my husband and two kids. I love a good podcast, long walks, and sharing great food with friends.
